Linking to NoNAIS.org

General — walterj 5:30 pm

Can I use the NoNAISewe logo with the sheep “Dolly Pardon Me!” in the red NOT! symbol on my web site, blog, postcards, letterhead, bumper stickers, etc?

Please do! Many people are already sporting NoNAISewe logos on their web sites, have put them on T-shirts, bumper stickers, postcards and other things. You may use the logo, and other artwork, in any way that helps in the fight against the National Animal Identification System .

You can find more artwork like the logo in this here:
  http://nonais.org/imagesmisc/

It is really a lot of fun to be cruising the web and see her face looking back at me from so many sites and blogs! A big thanks to all of you who are already doing this!

I don’t know how to do it. Can you help me?

Sure thing! Linking to http://NoNAIS.org helps with search engine ranking which thus helps with spreading the word about the harm of NAIS. It is easy to add a link. How you do it varies with the web and blog type.

Some times your software will have a Add Link or Links Manager section. In that spot you would give the program the link, also known as a URL, for NoNAIS.org which is:

http://NoNAIS.org

Or you may need to enter the HTML code into your template such as on blogger.

Here is the HTML code for a simple text link:

<a href="http://NoNAIS.org" title="Protect Traditional Rights to Farm">NoNAIS.org</a>

This gives a link like this: NoNAIS.org

Note that if you put your cursor over the link it should give you the secret message… :)

Here is the code for a graphical link using the smallest NoNAISewe button:

<a href="http://NoNAIS.org" title="Protect Traditional Rights to Farm"> <img src="http://nonais.org/imagesmisc/NoNAISewe50.png" alt="NoNAIS Logo"></a>

This gives a link like this: NoNAIS Logo

Here is the code for a graphical link using a larger NoNAISewe button:

<a href="http://NoNAIS.org" title="Protect Traditional Rights to Farm"> <img src="http://nonais.org/imagesmisc/NoNAISewe100.png" alt="NoNAIS Logo"></a>

This gives a link like this: NoNAIS Logo

Just copy and paste that code into your web pages or blog templates. These graphical images use transparency via the PNG file format so they look good on all backgrounds in all browsers.

In addition to putting the link on your page, spread the word and see what other places you might get to sport the link. Think of friends or acquaintances whom you know who blog or have web sites about agriculture, farming, homesteading, horses, livestock, homeschooling, country life, cooking, etc.

If you need more help, email me. Please be patient though as I get over 400 emails a day and personally attend to every single one. I have no staff. This is just little ol’ me. So, while you’re waiting for me to reply, write letters about NAIS to the editor, your government representatives, email friends, etc.

Can I put that cool bumper sticker miniture on my web site?

Sure thing. Same deal and here’s the code:

<a href="http://NoNAIS.org" title="Protect Traditional Rights to Farm"> <img src="http://nonais.org/imagesmisc/NoNAISBumperStickerMini.png" alt="NoNAIS Bumper Sticker"></a>

This gives a link like this: NoNAIS Bumper Sticker

  1. Thank you for all the work you are doing to stop NAIS! I posted your bumper sticker at the top of my blog and the larger button is now at the top of my list of homesteading links.

I was wondering, do you have some kind of leaflet or flier that can be printed out and distributed? I’d like to put some on bulletin boards at local grocery stores, etc. We have alot of Amish in our area (hence, alot of farms!) here in Indiana and they don’t have access to TV or the Internet, so I’m not sure how much of this type of information (anti-NAIS) they might have access to.

    Thanks again!

  4. The government does not want us raising our own “HEALTHY” food and this is just one more way for them to TRY to drive farmers OUT.
We don’t want to eat meats, veggies etc. that have been made to GROW BIGGER AND FASTER with the help of “Man Made” Intervention.
We want to eat “Real” foods raised in “Gods own time”
with our own hands from our own land.
NAIS is seeking to take that away.
We want to KNOW where and how our veggies are grown.
We want to KNOW how the animals we eat were raised.
We want our farm to have a positive effect on the community around us.
We want to go to sleep at night knowing that all our physical labor is for
good for our farm, family and those around us.
We know how to do this with out big brother telling us how - or tracking each move our animals make..
Its bad enuff they listen to our conversations in our cars with “On Star”
    What’s next. “On Farm”… Deb

  8. Hi again. Is it just me or are the two button codes the same size? They’re both showing up really tiny when I put them in the sidebar of my blog, farmgirlfare.com.

  9. I’m baaaaack! I took a chance (an totally computer illiterate) and changed the “50″ to “100″ and it came out bigger! : )

  10. This is not the USA I was taught about in school. They said we had a Constitution that limited the powers of government. They said the government was not allowed to break into our homes without a warrant and search or sieze our property without a warrant and just cause. They said we were not to be slaves of the government. What is going wrong?!

  11. If this goes through it will be the “end of the world”, or the beginning of it. Like something out of a sci fi horror movie! We cannot let this happen. If it does, just let that “bird flu” come and take me cause it won’t be worth living anymore. Might as well go all the way and sterilize our selves. Who wants to bring children into this kind of world.

  13. posting from parkersburg west virginia. first heard of NAIS this summer. i am mortified and very worried by our gov’t’s intrusion into it’s citizens’ private affairs. i have written to the local newspaper and now see some very good posts with ideas to get the word out further. one of the most worrisome things about this program is….why has the gov’t been and continue to be so secretive about it? there are motives behind this program that smack of police state and dictatorship. the rich get more control and the middle class disappears. time to get off the couch and wake up, american idol nation!

  14. I would like to share info. with you that you may not be aware of. USDA has 3 ongoing class action lawsuits against it, begun in l997, representing thousands of mostly small farmers. They are in the “U.S. District Court in Washington D.C.” (link) fourth one, Pigford vs Glickman, was won and the concent decree is at USDA’s website. Go to link and read the summary of it, then go to “statements/declarations/transcripts” and READ the transcript of the Sept. 25, 2002 Hearing of the House Subcommittee on this “travesty of justice”…esp. pp 130-135. Then you will see the enormity of the problem(s) with USDA. Two other similar suits are Love vs Johanns and Keepseagle vs Johanns. (all have websites). It is hard to believe that they are enacting a new program such as NAIS, when the problems, past and present , with this agency have not been resolved. Where is Dr. Phil?

    Comment The Phantom — November 26, 2006 @ 1:46 pm

  15. Hi:

In relation to number 14, regarding lawsuits , you might find the comments of Ben Roberts of value. He appeared with Derry Brownfield on 28 Nov and in the latter half of the program he and a caller spoken extensively(given the time restraints) about the ineffectual results of suing the government, specific to Ag issues. Mr Roberts references a number of instances where favorable decisions were subsequently overturned by lone judges.

    link

The program on the 27th might be of value also as Derry is detailing the control of the packing industry and its control of beef pork and chicken producers, and what we consumers can expect in the future.

    respects, Wm

  16. I just found your site today, and have already contacted the TV and
radio and newspapers for Tuesdays meeting in Springfield
Missouri. I also have put a small paragraph and a jpg. of one of
the bumper stickers on my website. I am currently getting around
    > 100 people per day I hope that will help spread the word. What I
am trying to say is this……if everyone that has a website would
link back to your site…….it would help so very much. Since
most people do have a site, and they work on it themselves they
    need to do it!

  17. Scott from MO. glad you found us and glad you did such a great spot for nonais on your web site which is way cool or should I say HOT. We heat 100% with wood stove but inside soapstone stove which means mess, more mess and still more mess. Love your unit to go outside and keep fire hazard and did I mention mess out of the house. Anyone with limited space, wood frame home this is the way to go. Back to subject
Praying for plenty to show up the 17th at Springfield us Okies have called and put in our two cents. Some Okies are close enough to attend.

  18. I just copied this image and put it on Facebook. Please feel free to use and share. It is on the Pieces of Flair application. I used the keywords NoNAIS, small farms, and pasture-fed.

BTW, I do know math. but found the terms, “Please add 8 and 1.” to be confusing. I added a 8 and a 1 to the box. I think “What’s 8+1?” would be less confusing, but that’s just me.

    Ruth

[I’m glad it is confusing. It is supposed to cull out the spambots from the real people. A computer would look at “8+1″ and figure it out very quickly. A human can figure out “Please add 8 and 1″ but a computer has a hard time with that. Spam is a big problem. Unfortunately it is not edible. If it were we could feed everyone. So I continue to battle the spammers. Sometimes I change the way the question is worded if I think they’re figuring it out. I appreciate your being human. Cheers, -WJ]

This web site looks worst in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 under Microsoft Windows. Gee... Any coincidence? If you are having trouble, might I suggest getting FireFox, Opera, Safari, iCab or some other browser. Anything but Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 under Microsoft Windows. *grrr* If you are using another browser and have problems, please do let me know.
