Effects of Chipping on Horses in NL

Alert - International — walterj 11:50 am

Interesting web site from the Netherlands about the effects of microchipping on horses. These are the same sort of things Big Biz and our Nanny State governments would like to do to your pets, children and you. Stomach churning.

If you don’t read Dutch then click on the English link in their left sidebar.

Hat tip to Deborah.

  1. Walter,

Is there any way we can get these photographs to the USDA? I have 3 horses and a donkey. I will go to jail before I let them be microchipped.

[Yes, print them out and send them to Bruce Knight. But I don’t think that will do any good. I am sure he is well aware of the issue - he just doesn’t care. He has more important things to do, like making sure the high paid lobbyists patrons get their money’s worth. Better would be to contact your local media - newspapers, television, etc - and get reporters interested. -WJ]

  2. Hi there,

I’m one of the people behind the Dutch website on the dangers of chipping horse’s.
We’ve been fighting our government for several years now and will not give up.
So please, all of you in the USA, as you can see on the website, chipping your animals is NOT SAVE.
Fight it en don’t comply for the sake of your animals welbeeing.

  3. Annemieke, I want to thank you for your work spreading the bad news about RFID chips in horses. Ever since I saw your site a few weeks ago the images have not left my mind. I promised my mare that I would not ever let that happen to her and I will keep that promise.

  4. Thank you Henwhisperer, we try to spread the word as much as we can but there are still lots of horseowners that don’t know about the dangers or about Group Nijhof for that matter. And government and BigBiz are not interested in informing the people about those dangers. Unnecessary to say they are not too pleased with us and they simply deny that anything can go wrong.
As long as they themselfs don’t walk about with a chip in their arm my horse is not going to. And even if they do, I will still not chip my horse :)
So spread the word to all you know and truly care about their animals welbeeing. We just received another very sad story of a 2 year old stalion. Realy heartbreaking. This has to stop, but that is only possible when everyone refuses to comply.
    Good luck everyone.
