The Vermont Agency of Agriculture (AoA) has released the proposed rules for Premises ID in Vermont on their web site. There is also a schedule for the hearings.
My understanding from conversations with legislators is that the AoA is not allowed to actually adopt rules. All they can do at this time is propose them and discuss them with the public. Then in 2007 when the legislature reconvenes they will consider the rules. Your feedback to the AoA and to your state legislators and to the Senate & House Ag Committees is critical. Attend as many hearings as you can and write all of your representatives.
