Please contact Bill O’Reilly to let him know about the government’s intrusive, tax wasting, unconstitutional program that will destroy small farms and hurt homesteaders.

Explain to him that the USDA’s proposed National Animal Identification System will increase food prices and limit choice as our national food supply becomes concentrated into the hands of fewer and fewer large corporations. NAIS will actually make our country more susceptible to terrorist attack by destroying the diverse network of regional small farms. This hurts our individual independence and makes our country more susceptible to disasters and terrorist attacks. All this for the benefit of the RFID tag industry and a few big beef exporters who want to sell to foreign markets.
Ask Mr. Beck to please report on the damage that the USDA’s proposed National Animal Identification System (NAIS) will do to small farmers and homesteaders. The system is unconstitutional, trampling on our 1st, 4th, 5th, 14th and possibly 13th amendment rights. The USDA has the power to do warrant-less search and seizure without any form of legal appeal. They can depopulate 8 mile radius circles without even testing for disease as stated in GAO document 05-214.
NAIS should be a 100% voluntary, market driven solution, not a heavy handed government mandate. If he needs a quick overview, ask him to read the handout http://NoNAIS.org/handout. In addition to an executive summary of the harm of NAIS to small farmers and homesteaders, the handout also contains links to the USDA documents. Additional government documents can be found in the Technical Documents section of the right sidebar.
People need to know about this. We need to protect our traditional rights to farm.
PS. Thanks, Mel.

I love this country because we have our checks and balances. However, I have never been so afraid of our government until I heard about this movement. It sounds surreal if not down right insane. Who are these people and where do they get the power to even consider something like this? People today are aware of power mongers and the greed of those do-gooders who profess to protecting the public while creating benefits for themselves. Can you imagine the money to be made by cell indentification manufacturers? Can you imagine all theose cushy jobs for the enactors of the rules. IMagine one of them wanting your farm and harassing you till you are forced to give it up and he cashes in on it. If I sound like a skeptic so be it. There must be a stronger word than that. The ramifications of NAIS are fearful and the public has to be made aware of it. I am not a farmer but this whole business just really frightens me.

I just alerted my state chapter of the ACLU about the potential horrors of NAIS. It wasn’t on their radar, but perhaps it will be now. Why don’t you do the same?
[I’m glad to hear they are interested. I contacted the national and our state chapters and they told me they were not interested because it just affected farmers, not people. Mary Z. got the same response from them. Perhaps they are changing their mind. Keep on it. -WJ]

I’m from a dairy farm family and I know the damage that has been done to the small farmers it is a crime and wish more people realized that their dairy, produce, and meat, do NOT originate in the supermarkets!!!! Keep up the good work. Thanks

I read the news today about Cindi and Danny Henshaw of Virgina. The USDA has invaded their property, arrested Danny and began killing their exoctic pigs. I am so mad I can hardley stand it!! You can contact them by address search, type in their name. I have heard of other horror stories as well, there are getting to be too many of these stories. I believe The USDA, Government, Thugs or whatever we what to name them are, using the bigger people as an example as to what they can do to us little people. It is hard to educate the public on the the dreadful ramifications of the Power the USDA has. I am a small rancher when I first heard of NAIS I saw red flags. We are looking at the *DEMISE* not only of our ranches large or small and the worst scare is it will be the dimise of our Country. We are hanging on by a thread now.
Lord knows we need all the help we can get.
Thank you, JoNell Waggoner
