text

This LA Times article tells about the recent egg contamination of salmonella --the first comment tells the real reason it happened... from someone who lives near the egg farm saying the free range chickens range freely over huge piles of manure...NAISADT would NOT prevent this.
There is room for more comments.

Another Watts up with that article to comment on Penn State’s greenhouse gas solution: cow beano

"...“Cattle are actually a major producer of methane gas and methane is a significant greenhouse gas,” Hristov said. “In fact, worldwide, livestock emits 37 percent of anthropogenic methane.”

Anthropegenic methane is methane produced by human activities, such as agriculture.

Compared to carbon dioxide, methane has 23 times the potential to create global warming, Hristov said. The Environmental Protection Agency bases the global warming potential of methane on the gas’s absorption of infrared radiation, the spectral location of its absorbing wavelengths and the length of time methane remains in the atmosphere...."

I wonder if the tagging of our animals is just the start.
First comes the tagging and property ID.

Then comes the methane gas emmision tax

Followed by the recommendation that we get rid of all livestock to reduce GHG emmissions and help meet our "UN mandated" reduction.

Time for comments ASAP:

Watts Up with That is one of the buziest science blogs on the internet. They have a good article up we need to jump on right now. So get in your licks and inform everyone about the USDA and FDA's attempted takeover of American Farming Rights.

The article is about Rainfall and water use.
"The IWMI is a nonprofit, scientific research organization focusing on the sustainable use of water and land resources in agriculture…"

I ran across this statement at another blog discussing Global Warming and found it rather "enlightening" since it illustrates total contempt for freedom.

"...This is my complaint with American conservatism:
it so values the freedom"

The whole comment concerning society and "freedom" can be found here

News just in
Fears grow over global food supply

Russia announced a 12-month extension of its grain export ban on Thursday, raising fears about a return to the food shortages and riots of 2007-08 which spread through developing countries dependent on imports....

The FAO said that "the concern about a possible repeat of the 2007-08 food crisis" had resulted in "an enormous number" of inquiries from member countries.

....riots in Mozambique left seven dead.

The unrest in Maputo, in which 280 people were also injured, followed the government's decision to raise bread prices by 30 per cent. Police opened fire on demonstrators after thousands turned out to protest against the price hikes, burning tyres and looting food warehouses....

When will the idiotic politician learn to leave the farmers alone.
