...true Wm, death is not the worst of all evils. I'd submit that Living in tyranny is a fate worse than death... Sometimes I get a little heated when I see our country slipping into something it was never intended to become. I don't honestly know how I'd react if /when "they" come charging up my driveway to silence Henny Penny for crossing the road one too many times. I'd like to believe
I'd respond in a "Patriotic Way" and defend my property according to rights reserved to the people and "guaranteed" by the constituion. (that damn piece of paper again!)
The irony is we don't have to wonder IF there will be illegal
intrusions on our rights / property and Gestapo tactics...they've already happened. I ask all readers of this board - What makes you any different from the Henshaws or the folks in "The Mad Sheep" incident ? Nothing that I can see, our number just hasn't come up yet...but it will if we aren't vigilant about keeping our rights.
I know this isn't a Political board per se, but I think all of us need to really look at our Congressional candidates and how they view NAIS as THE most important issue of this campaign. ALL other issues are a distant second when it comes to Constitutional rights, we can't have those other issue debates if we don't have a Constitution that still means something. Bottom line if your
favorite candidate hasn't stated a CLEAR position opposing NAIS, ask them what else about the Bill of Rights they don't support!

tsk tsk tsk Bob

Live free or die:

... Death is not the worst of evils.
- General John Stark on July 31 ,1809

(;

I just thought this to be one of those times where, though it won't fit the licence plate, the entire thought deserves to be complete.

(I hope you understand, all in good humour, no rancour intented.)

Two down and one to go for October here.

I guess there were about 130 people in Linn last night and about 140 in Mtn Grove on Tuesday. The state reps are being put on notice that they are the last bulwark against this. I'm hoping to get together with legislators very soon.

We have got to hang together on this and not let any polarized party politics divide us.

Thanks everyone!!!=d

I am excited to see such progress in MO! Lee, I know exactly what you mean about whot we're facing here. I have written several emails to Johanns asking what the heck planet is the USDA on?? They are no longer fighting small farmers, as they are being pulled down the "gold highway". To them, they probably cannot even imagine what a small farmer and their family looks like anymore. All they are seeing is dollar signs, and this psycho system is the fastest track to ultimate power and money they have run across in decades! We are not dealing with people with a conscience, we are dealing with people who are getting paid. We have all seen the destruction around the world that happens when money is offered to various people to get some desired outcome. The outcome is not important to those people, since all they care about is "more for themselves". Scary to think we're up against "greed" because we all know who usually wins when ANYTHING faces rampant greed. RFID will generate endless profits for manufacturers, govt leaders, etc. Once everybody is controlled by RFID, the controllers will have power over the entire world. Then it will only be the insanley elite controlling the surf masses by satellite. The microchips can control heart rates, moods etc. This technology was current 2 years ago. I'm sure its advanced beyond that now. So they act like psychos because they are operating like psychos- which by definition, is the inability to sympathize, empathize, or operate with a conscience toward others. Know your enemy- they are operating without a conscience in their pursuit of endless money and power through the idea of "everything RFID".

I just read comments about the FARFA meeting in Paris, Texas from Susan.
re: Mafia style strong arm etc. from USDA..."better pass this legislation or else"...
WHAT !!?? Who at the USDA said that ? What was Representative Homer's response to the question of why he didn't tell USDA person to pound sand (my words) ?
I fear for this country. I read Orwell's Animal Farm many years ago and thought it was about the Soviet Union...I was wrong wasn't I ? I'm more motivated than ever to spread the word about NAIS and why it must be stopped. This is our country and we shouldn't let "them" claim the moral high ground of "protecting Americans". Send them all back to 9th grade civics for a lesson on the Constitution and Bill of Rights! Quarantine the state of Texas, I don't think many Texans will put up with that!...so much for free speech and property rights! If Representative Homer has been quoted correctly, it is his duty to go public and make this an issue...Somebody down in Texas needs to get a letter to the editor out detailing the comments too...Don't give in to bullying, expose the tyrants. Here in New Hampshire our state motto is "Live Free or Die", feel free to borrow it anytime...Good luck

We had a FARFA town hall meeting in Paris TX. About 75 attended and it
went way past 9 pm and several elected offal and candidates were there to give their opinions on NAIS...
Rep. Mark Homer, 4th dist TX, stated that when HB1351 ( the
bill that gave authority to the Texas Animal Health Commission to implement NAISs) was presented to the elected officials were told
by the USDA THEY HAD BETTER PASS IT OR THE USDA WOULD QUARANTINE THE WHOLE STATE OF TEXAS!

What can be done with this kinds of info how the USDA /big agribusiness is using mafia style tactics to strong arm the NAIS
into existence?
At the meeting someone asked Homer why he didn't stand up and say no to their tactics?
Assuming Homer is not lying, why did not the rest of the elected offal at least question the tactics?

Hi y'all,well where to start? Thanks Walter and Mary for the update. After a long day of harvesting and canning the goodies I sat down to check on whats up here and other places. I read the USDA paper and just kinda sat here staring off into space with my eyes glazed over and a funny buzzing in my brain, my daughter came in and said Daddy are you ok? maybe a couple times before I finally realized where the voice was coming from, this seems to be my normal reaction as of late to anything that these people (govt types) come up with any more a "zoning out" and a sense that I am no longer on planet earth or even in this dimension but somewhere in a netherworld where up is down, left is right, right is wrong and Soviet Russia won. I am sure that those of you who eat drink and breath this NAIS and related topics know the feeling, I mean where do these people come from that write this stuff? It has to be bad breeding and polluted water that dominates inside the beltway, but I guess nothing they do really suprises me anymore. I listen to them talk about the challenges farmers face nowdays and then see them introduce a program like NAIS to "help" make things better, I hear talk about how they are doing all they can to "help"(please anything but that) secure farmers futures by making it impossible to farm. I hear how we are all part of a global economy even if we don't know it (and whos fault is that? Hmmmmmmmm? Mr. Govt man. )or want to be part of it and see them introduce programs to encourage the industrialization of agriculture while pulling the rug off under Americas small farms, denying them any help while lavishly subsidizing the giant agribiz machine and all of its poision food substitutes and enviroment destroying methods while at the same time pointing accusing fingers at tradional farming methods. These are the same people who decry the terrible conditions on small farms and homesteads,(ie the risk of disease outbreaks by (GASP) co-mingling species) all the while telling us that big ag industrial farming is the future of agriculture and then lamenting that small farms are failing and young people can't afford to get started, it is so twisted around itself that I can't follow the train of thought (I'm sooo confused) from point "A" to point "96" I tell you it's an amazing thing that this country has lasted this long with these types running it, 'cause when a goat or a chicken makes more sense to me than what these people come up with( which again does not suprise me) I am seriously considering therapy (ie banging my head off the barn door repeatedly till I feel "better". Well I guess I had better go check the pressure canner before something explodes. Have a great day folks!
