Fact is, I, too, have had problems accessing this site now and again. Must be that pesky NSA detour...

We are on a fiber, high speed connection so I don't think there is an overload problem at this residence.

[This afternoon we did have a real server outage when the software I use to run the web site crashed. It was backup after about an hour I think. This has happened once before. I'm looking into the problem and how to prevent it. Rather pesky. -WJ]

Has anybody else had trouble getting onto this website recently? Late afternoon last Friday, when I tried to come here, I got an error message saying that I couldn't "access it with this server." I tried both Mozilla (the one I always use)and Internet Explorer (as my last resort). Those are the only two browsers I have, and neither of them worked. Later that evening, I came back and was able to get here via Mozilla with no problem.
This morning it happened again. For the second time, I couldn't access NoNAIS. But by late afternoon everything was fine again.
I know that sometimes, when a website is being updated, you can't get to it. I just hope this doesn't continue. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't come here, Walter.

[I haven't noticed any down times on the server but it could have happened when I was working outdoors. The browser shouldn't make a difference. One possiblity I can think of is that I notice you are on Hughes Directway network which means you're getting a set of dynamic IP addresses Hughes that is shared between many people time to time. A crank spammer who is also on Hughes network was spamming me last week and I blocked his IP address. If you happened to ge the same IP as him you would get blocked until you got a new IP address. I have unblocked that IP address incase that is the case. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for alerting me. If you have trouble again, leave a note and I'll look into it. Even if you can't access the site you should still be able to email me and that will automatically give me the IP address so I can check it.. -WJ]

C'mon Walt, can't you figure out why these questions can't/aren't being answered? THE QUESTIONS ARE JUST TOO HARD FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND!!! The USDA can't think to begin with, otherwise it would not have come up with such a boondoggle system as NAIS. The questions you pose are beyond their scope of comprehension.
Being a teacher, I can recognize when a student turns in orginal work and when it is copied. NAIS is an obvious copy of government programs from communist/socialist/fascist regimes. (Too bad there is not a copyright so some foreign country could sue the USDA for infringement.)
So Johanns (and the USDA minions) get an F for lousy planning, and F for lack of originality, and F for getting the assigment in late (not answering Walt's questions) and F because they can't even begin to form answers to the simplest of questions mainly because they have not thought NAIS through.
(F of course stands for "fail" but because of the stress from fighting this program, some people might think the F stands for another 4 letter word. That is o.k. with me!)

There must be a gag order of some sort on the press, because even the most radical--let's stop government waste--reporters in our area have refused to do pieces on NAIS.

This just proves that the press can be and is the tool of the state. CBS, Fox, ABC, CNN are just state broadcast channels doping the populace with drivel and false, distracting news. They are part of the new terror network--keep the people in check by making them scared of their own shadow. They make hours of news up out of a few lines, small details and lots of speculation.

When I was at the county fair this week, most people I spoke with had never heard of the NAIS. Flyers were passed out, I mentioned NONAIS in almost every conversation. But most people don't care to be bothered. "Everything is alright now, we don't have to do anything." or "Do you really think it will ever get that bad? It couldn't happen here. . ." It's a battle for hearts and minds out there. The fictitious "Homeland" they want to safegaurd doesn't exist yet, but they're on their way to creating it.

You are right Deb,except for a few tiny letter to the editors type things I have not been able to get the papers around here(50 mile radius)NW PA.) to talk to me,most have not run my letters either,I am not sure what is wrong with them,it's almost like this is "non-news" to them. Same deal with the tv stations, its been months since they said they'ed look into NAIS and get back to me all I have gotten is a brush-off.Deans idea works too,I did this and then parked at Wallyworld,I came out and folks were reading my truck, opens up doors to speak to folks, just a postflier in each back side window and one of Walters "pierced" chicks blown up on bright yellow poster stock in the rear window with this sites address in "BOLD"... you can "tell" everyone that gets behind you to look up WWW.NONAIS.ORG I have watched people dig for a pencil and paper while chasing me down the road,it's kind of fun,I would recommend this tactic to all(just be careful not to block your view)Also another tactic I have been employing besides posters is business sized cards on bright neon colored stock, had a printer make these up for me,(3000/$95)I was making them on my computer but it was cheaper to have a printer do them,as ink cartridges are big bucks for all the more they can make, any way these cards are easy to hand to some one,or to carry in your pocket,I put them on some folks car wipers, put them in the big stores, into egg cartons and the folds of tool boxs at feed/hardware stores so that when a person buys the item they find my "business card",My cards are printed on bothsides, the title is printed in bold" STOP USDA-AGRIBIZ POWERGRAB, so that it gets a persons attention then it lists line by line the major points of the problem and then at the end it directs folks to this site and Liberty Ark for more info,I will be passing out several thousand of these at the fair,I hope, as well as all over the tri county area, any way I said all that to encourage you and others, that there are ways to get the word out, besides the main stream biased media and besides when I have done radio shows,I can't tell if anyone is listening, but when I pass a card or flyer or see them read my car, I know that they got the message,so don't be discouraged,go get 'em !

good men doing nothing
is letting this happen
we need more good men
doing something
pound the streets
instead of the keys
it's much harder
and it's not safe
the way annonomous is
why don't people identify
themselves in the true sense?
Or do we all really want the
government to tell us who we are?

By way of backing up Lee's comments of August 20th...there is a growing pocket of anti-NAIS dissent that is not getting much mention. And that is those of us who run animal sanctuaries..especially farm animal sanctuaries. Many of us are vegetarians/vegans and have large number of non-meat eating supporters.

The NAIS has the potential to damage and destroy small animal sanctuaries just as it does small farmers and ranchers. And we are finding, as we get the word out, that the majority of farm animal sanctuaries...many of us small, non-profit or private operations...are just as irate about the NAIS as the rest of the small farming community.

Farm animal sanctuaries take in abused, abandoned and neglected farm animals and care for them for life...it is as simple as that. But in the process we do many of the same things that small farmers and ranchers do on a daily basis.

While our goal with regard to the eventual fate of the animals may be different, most of us in the sanctuary world do not see joining the anti-NAIS movement as an unholy alliance, or a compromise of our ideals, but rather one in which good people of divergent views have joined forces against a common enemy.

As Lee's vegan friend commented...we may not agree with eating meat, but the true fight for liberty and freedom transcends many differences of opinion. Any you will find an increasing number of animal sanctuaries, vegetarians and vegans willing to step forward to join you in your fight against the government and the NAIS.

Depopulation?. . .Depopulation? Did I just read that word up above in the PA statutes? What is that all about? Depopulation of our livestock, or of citizens, or of the elderly, or sick, or people with a low IQ, or people who don't have mindless, cushy Government jobs?

We need to depopulate our government departments, and right now. Our elected officials are talking crap. They are letting us down, leaving it to their hired flunkies to do the dirty work. If we can vote in the Senator, Congressman, Commissioner, etc then we should have an equal vote in who they are employing--because it's these cogs-behind-the-scenes who are doing all the real work.

Sure we might talk to, write to, harass Congressman So and So from our district, but the real truth is he/she will delegate the work to someone else who cares even less than they do. Nevertheless, apply the pressure. There are signs that the damn is cracking. That the USDA is feeling the heat from the public. That our efforts to fight this tyranny might be holding back the tide before it turns. And on that ebb tide we'd better be ever more ready to flush out the drift and clear the shores of all the crap the currant officials are piling up.

If we as a nation cannot defeat NAIS (which is just the tip of a very large and nasty iceberg) than I fear the worst. There is more and different and scary to follow if NAIS is allowed take hold. A USDA Vichey-style government is not something I care to participate in.

"Arise children of the Homeland
The day of glory has arrived
Against us tyranny's
Bloody standard is raised
Listen to the sound in the fields
The howling of these fearsome soldiers
They are coming into our midst
To cut the throats of your sons and consorts

To arms citizens Form your battalions
March, march
Let impure blood
Water our furrows

What do they want this horde of slaves
Of traitors and conspiratorial kings?
For whom these vile chains
These long-prepared irons?"

--The "Freedom" National Anthem

Deb, there is a whole bunch of positive and constructive things you can do to get the NoNAIS word out on the street and to the farms.

Make signs and post them on you car, and park the car in the feed store parking lot, or at Walmart, etc.

[Dean! I love it! -WJ]

Put a sign in front of your house, get the neighbors or friends to do the same.

Make fliers on your computer, and distribute them after church or bingo, or sports events.

It is easier to get forgiveness then it is to get permission to do this.

The news media, is part of the government now; that is why you will see nothing about the NAIS.

Use your computer, your intellect, your imagination, and your "one to one" contacts, fliers, signs, etc. to get this word out.

The one thing the government cannot stifle, is YOU, getting the word out, yourself.

Good Luck in the fight.

[Dean! I love it!

Use your computer, your intellect, your imagination, and your “one to one” contacts, fliers, signs, etc. to get this word out.

The one thing the government cannot stifle, is YOU, getting the word out, yourself.

Good Luck in the fight.

Dean
